We are a community of imperfect people who love, follow and serve a perfect God. We’re all about community and serving others outside of our walls.
Nichole recently came to work at the church. She has been married for over 21 years, to an amazing man named Clint. They met while serving together in the United States Navy. They have two wonderful girls.
Nichole handles the finances for the church as well as assists the Pastor as needed. This position can be challenging at times but she considers it a blessing to work here and tries hard to fill the needs of our church.
April is a local mother who feels blessed by the opportunity to be our Children’s Ministry Coordinator. She has been President of the Middleburg Museum for several years, and helps run her family’s tree service. She grew up close to Middleburg, in the Ortega Area of Jacksonville.
She loves Mexican food.
April hopes to lead our children with a good dose of old fashioned values balanced with what today’s parents need. Two focuses will be memorizing Bible Verses and singing before the congregation on a more regular basis.
Peggy and her husband relocated to Jacksonville through the Navy, over a decade ago. She then left her EMS career to start raising their two kids full time. Missing a more rural life; they moved to Middleburg and started attending worship at our church. Outside of church… If she doesn’t have her nose in a book, chances are she is in a garden or a horse pasture.
Peggy has worked with many different types of youth groups in the past and really loves teaching teens. She finds it “thrilling finding new ways to help teens learn how to navigate the importance of faith and worship as they grow into young adults”.
Marie has spent many years as a pilar of our nursery and church.
Marie's hobbies include sewing, rubber stamping, and baking cookies. She has been in 2 square dance clubs. Marie has lived in the area since November 1968 and has been married for over 50 years. They have one daughter, retired Navy/Marine and one grandson who is a graduate of the University of West Florida. They found their home church in 1983.
Marie's focus in the Nursery is to keep all of the babies and young children safe, dry, fed, and happy. She helps with potty training. They read stories. She helps teach them to share. She tells them God loves them (and so does she) and is happy when they share and are nice to others. When she can not be there, she is the one who finds a person or persons she knows and trusts, to cover for her. She wants her precious little ones to be well taken care of. "Piece of mind for when I am out of town." She has been a very active church member for many years, as well as holding offices. She has devoted countless hours to the annual Black Creek Winter Festival and the church sponsored Pumpkin Patch; All while holding down a full time day job.
