Our Mission is to tend and feed His sheep for a lifetime by feeding His lambs for a weekend. (John 21:15-17)

Mission: pb&J provides a source of nutritional food for children during the weekends whom are normally dependent on the free breakfast and lunch programs and would otherwise face the weekends hungry.

Through the relationship building that takes place as a result of providing for this physical need we seek to expand our efforts towards a more holistic approach to ministry through tutoring and other needs as deemed necessary by the school allowing for more evangelism and discipleship opportunities with the students and their families.

We are praying for servants of Christ with a passion for children and children’s ministries who are willing to work inside the framework of the schools to work towards our vision.  Also, for those who may not feel led to work directly with the children and families, we can always use help with the shopping, sorting, and packing of the actual backpacks that we make up each week during the school year.  Monetary support is always welcome and can be given through MUMC with a memo stating it is for Mission: pb&J.

Coming out of our 5th year of operation as of the 2017/ 2018 school year we have grown from serving 10 children in one school to serving over 55 children in 40 families at four schools in our community, but the bulk of our students come from Middleburg Elementary which is a Title I school and neighbors our church grounds.
