Come on Home to see us at Homecoming
We are celebrating the 196th anniversary of the founding of Middleburg United Methodist Church.
On this special day, we’ll have one Worship Service at 10 AM.
Bring your whole family and lots of friends to celebrate with us as we see what the Lord has helped us to do for so many years in this remarkable church.
We will honor our special guests and visitors during the service.
Reverend Bob Laidlaw will bring a special Homecoming message. He retired in 2016 as an Elder in the Florida Conference.
Music will be performed by the Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir.
Children 3 years old to 6th grade will sit with their family & then be dismissed & escorted to FLC Davis Chapel during passing the peace in the service for an extraordinary program. Ages 0-3 yrs. will be in the Nursery.
There is a potluck dinner in the Family Life Center following the service. Here is your chance to bring your favorite dishes to share with our out-of-town guests. Please bring plenty to share with our visitors. Name-label your dishes to be returned. We’ll slice the cakes and pies, but you cook & slice the hams and turkeys, please.
Prepare for A Dessert Pie Contest
Categories are Berry, Nut or Fruit Pies, and Cream Pies. All entries MUST be homemade!
Pies will need to be delivered to the FLC by 9 AM that morning in order to be judged. Ribbons will be awarded during dinner and entries will be served as dessert for our Homecoming Meal. The winning pies will be auctioned.
There will be tours of the Historic Church following dinner, Homecoming T-shirts priced to sell, and, of course, the famous Pie Contest which you are invited to enter.
