Rev D. Bryan Simpson
Bryan is native of Athens, Georgia where he lived all through his youth. He moved to Lakeland, Florida with his family in 1973. Following in his fathers' footsteps, he became a Union Bricklayer Local # 3 Tampa, Fl. Because of his love for sports and children, Bryan coached and managed numerous youth teams in Lakeland from 1973 to 1988 in football, basketball, baseball as well as coaching his church men's slow pitch softball team, basketball team and volleyball team. After years of running from God, he finally surrendered to full time ministry as a United Methodist Pastor.Bryan has served at: - Bethel UMC - Lake City, Fl., - Friendship UMC - Punta Gorda, Fl. - White City UMC - Fort Pierce, Fl. - Howe Memorial UMC - Crescent City, Fl. - Wesley UMC - West Melbourne, Fl. - Trinity UMC - Wesley Chapel, Fl..Rev. Simpson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Florida Southern College and Master's of Divinity degree at Emory University (Candler School of Theology). He also completed the Beeson Leadership Program of Asbury Theological Seminary. Bryan now occupies the MUMC Parsonage, with his beautiful family. His wife Jeanie, daughter Caitlyn and son Christopher, and of course their family pets: a Pug named Buddy and a cat named Belle.
