A LAY SERVANT IS...
- An active, supportive member of their Church and the Body of Christ.
- Eager to serve others, through the church.
- Committed to witnessing through church and community leadership, care-giving ministries, and spoken communication.
- Willing to improve his/her skills through training.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF LAY SERVANTS
Local Church Lay Servants serve in and through their local churches. They must complete the Basic Lay Servant Ministries Course, and are certified to, among other things, bring the Sunday Morning Message to the Congregation in their Home Church.
Certified Lay Servants serve in their own churches, other churches, and through district or conference projects and programs. They can expand their outreach and enrich their ministry through various Advanced Lay Servant Courses. To be recognized as Certified Lay Servant, they have completed the Basic Course and one Advanced Course (among many). They are certified to, among other things, bring the Sunday Morning Message to the Congregation in their Home Church, and other District Churches.
Our church has more than 20 Lay servants, and encourages all members interested to take Lay Servant Courses, if for nothing else personal growth! Interested? Contact Craig Van Gundy or Bob Milam.
